Colorscope for December 2023 = Red

December is a Red month. What that means is a lot of self-targeted primal energy will be in the air. The energy this month will be the embodiment of the I AM energies and passions, personalities, and short tempers. Remember to breathe through and count to 10 before reacting to stimulus that is pushing your buttons.

Red, with its long wavelengths, is really in touch with the physical world. It’s all about doing your own thing. It’s the color of physical energy, kind of like a natural pick-me-up. It gets your adrenaline pumping and is all about being a go-getter and a trendsetter. Red loves being in charge, and if it has to play second fiddle, it’s not a happy camper. That’s when you might see red, quite literally, as it can lead to feelings of frustration and anger.

Think of Red as the first shout of “I AM” in the world, the original shout-out of who you are. It’s all about expressing yourself and making your mark. Red’s all about experiencing life in the here and now, and not so much about sitting back and reflecting. It’s the color of action, constantly moving forward. But, if you focus too much on Red, you might end up feeling like you’re burning up, both physically and emotionally. Without a good way to channel all that energy, things can get a bit chaotic and stressful.

Life can turn into a non-stop hustle, with Red pushing you to grab opportunities without really thinking about what you’re grabbing. Red is also tied up with the more passionate side of life, like love and physical relationships. It’s a deeply emotional color, swinging from intense love to strong desire. When Red’s in love mode, it’s fearless, ready to stand up for what it believes in, no matter what. It’s the kind of love that’s generous and selfless.

So, Red’s a pretty powerful color, full of energy and emotion, needing the right outlets to really shine.This is your opportunity to put things in motion for next year. 2024 is a Rose year so it will mellow the Red substantially. Let the fires of Red propel you forward into the new year so you’re ready when Rose is activated on January 1. It’s a great time to Planifest! On the flip side, when Red’s desire kicks in, it can get a bit intense and possessive, wanting to control everything and everyone. Without a positive way to let out all that energy, Red can become pretty domineering and self-centered, sometimes even crossing over into cruelty if it sees anyone as a threat.

Red also means paying attention to self-care. It’s easy during the holiday season to lose yourself in all the activity around you and thinking of others. Remember to give time to your own care and nurturing. Watch what you are consuming — in all ways and remember you only have one body per lifetime.
